Jeremy Clarkson’s ‘alarming’ update as Clarkson’s Farm filming stopped

Jeremy Clarkson has shared an “alarming” update from his Oxfordshire property, confirming that filming for Clarkson’s Farm has officially paused — though life at Diddly Squat Farm is far from quiet.

The 65-year-old television presenter, who first bought the Chadlington-based property back in 2008 when it was known as Curdle Hill Farm, revealed on social media that cameras have temporarily stopped rolling. Diddly Squat has become one of the most famous farms in Britain thanks to the hit Prime Video series Clarkson’s Farm, which documents Clarkson’s chaotic yet determined attempt to run a real agricultural business.

Over four acclaimed seasons, the show has taken viewers deep into the challenges of British farming — from weather woes and government red tape to livestock chaos and hilarious misadventures with his loyal team, including Kaleb Cooper, Charlie Ireland, Lisa Hogan, and Gerald Cooper. The success of the show has also turned Diddly Squat Farm Shop and Clarkson’s nearby pub, The Farmer’s Dog in Asthall, into major tourist attractions, with hundreds of fans visiting each weekend.

However, Clarkson’s latest post left fans both amused and slightly shocked. Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, he wrote:

“Filming at Diddly Squat has stopped for a little while, but the farming goes on. Today, I have rented out a pig for sexual purposes.”

While the remark was delivered with Clarkson’s trademark humour, several national outlets described the update as “alarming,” with fans flooding the comments to express their amusement and curiosity about what’s next for the outspoken farmer.

The presenter had previously confirmed that Clarkson’s Farm would be taking a brief production break following the completion of Series 5, which wrapped filming last month. Although Prime Video has not yet announced an official release date, the fifth season is expected to premiere in 2026, following the platform’s usual annual schedule.

Earlier this year, Clarkson’s Farm Series 4 aired between May and June, featuring eight new episodes filled with challenges, laughter, and new business ventures — including the opening of Clarkson’s ambitious Cotswolds pub. Despite filming being paused for now, it seems Diddly Squat Farm — and Clarkson’s sense of humour — are still very much in full swing.
