Kaleb Cooper Heads Down Under: Clarkson’s Farm Star Lands First Solo Prime Video Series

The breakout star of Clarkson’s Farm is stepping out of Jeremy Clarkson’s shadow and into the spotlight with his very own series — set thousands of miles from home.

Kaleb Cooper, the no-nonsense young farmer who shot to fame on Clarkson’s Farm, has confirmed he is heading to Australia for his first-ever solo project with Prime Video. The new four-part documentary series, currently titled Kaleb: Down Under, will see the Chipping Norton native trade the rolling fields of Oxfordshire for the harsh, sun-baked landscapes of the Australian outback.

At just 27, Cooper has become one of Britain’s most recognizable farming figures — admired for his quick wit, straight-talking personality, and his good-natured clashes with Jeremy Clarkson. But this time, he’s going it alone.

“I spend most of my time with the most travelled man in the world,” Kaleb said, referring to Clarkson. “So I got brave and booked my first-ever flight to see what all the fuss was about. Australia, here I come! You’ll be gaining a new farmer for a couple of months as I discover if I can make my contracting business go international.”

A New Challenge Half a World Away

The four-part series will follow Kaleb as he ventures across Australia to explore one of the largest and most diverse farming industries on the planet. From cattle stations spanning thousands of acres to cutting-edge crop operations in arid conditions, Kaleb will immerse himself in the unique challenges and techniques that define Australian agriculture.

For the young farmer — who once admitted he’d never even left his home county before filming Clarkson’s Farm — it’s an extraordinary leap. Until recently, his farthest trip from home was taking his World According to Kaleb live tour to Scotland earlier in 2024.

Now, with cameras following his every move, Kaleb will learn how farmers thrive in some of the world’s most extreme environments, battling droughts, floods, and searing heat. It’s expected to be a mix of humor, discovery, and the trademark authenticity that made him a fan favorite.

From Farmhand to Fan Favourite

Kaleb’s rise to fame has been meteoric. Before Clarkson’s Farm, he was a young contractor helping out on local farms around Chipping Norton. But his blunt honesty and hilarious exasperation with Clarkson’s mistakes turned him into a breakout star.

Fans were instantly won over by his chemistry with Clarkson — the rural pragmatist versus the city-slicker celebrity — and his unapologetic devotion to traditional farming values. Over three seasons, Kaleb has become more than just a sidekick. He’s a voice for a generation of young farmers who feel unseen in the modern economy.

Earlier this year, Clarkson’s Farm won the Factual Entertainment Award at the National Television Awards, with both Clarkson and Cooper attending the ceremony to rapturous applause.

Prime Video’s Backing and Big Ambitions

Tara Erer, Head of Northern Europe Originals at Amazon MGM Studios, praised the young star’s growth and charisma:

“Kaleb Cooper has won our hearts with his no-nonsense farming wisdom and unmistakable charm. Seeing him swap his beloved Chipping Norton for the vast Australian outback promises brilliant entertainment as he encounters farming on a whole new scale. We’re proud to bring this next chapter of Kaleb’s journey to Prime Video.”

Filming for Kaleb: Down Under will begin this autumn, with the release expected in 2025. The show will be produced by Expectation Entertainment — the same company behind Clarkson’s Farm — ensuring the familiar blend of humor, heart, and grit that viewers love.

Still Rooted at Diddly Squat

While Kaleb’s solo series marks a major milestone in his career, fans can rest assured this isn’t a farewell to Clarkson’s Farm. Cooper is set to return to Diddly Squat for the show’s upcoming fifth season, which will continue filming life on Clarkson’s Oxfordshire farm.

If Clarkson’s Farm made Kaleb a star, Kaleb: Down Under could cement him as one of British television’s most relatable and authentic new presenters — a young man bridging two worlds of farming, united by the same passion for the land.

For now, the last word belongs to Kaleb himself:

“It might be my first trip across the world, but I’ll always be a Chipping Norton lad at heart — even if I come back with a bit of an Aussie tan.”
