Kaleb Cooper’s Trip Hits a Snag as He Shares ‘Problematic’ Moment with Fans

Clarkson’s Farm favourite Kaleb Cooper is gearing up for his next big adventure — and this time, it’s taking him far from the rolling fields of Chipping Norton to the vast landscapes of Australia. The young farmer, who has become a household name thanks to his no-nonsense attitude and hilarious banter with Jeremy Clarkson, is set to headline his own Prime Video spin-off series, Kaleb: Down Under. The four-part show will follow his first-ever solo journey as he explores one of the world’s largest farming industries, meeting agricultural pioneers and testing his skills on an entirely new scale.
But before even boarding his flight, Kaleb found himself in a bit of a pickle. Posting on Instagram, he revealed a chaotic moment that perfectly captured his down-to-earth charm — getting trapped by an electric gate just days before leaving. “Sums up the crazy week I’m having before I go to Australia 😂 so busy 😩,” he captioned the post, which quickly drew laughter and sympathy from fans.
In a video clip, Kaleb explained with mock despair: “I pressed a button and went to walk past and my jumper got caught in it.” Things only went downhill from there as the automatic gate began to close, snagging and ripping his jumper. “Ah, it’s cut my jumper! Noo… Aw noo!” he shouted, clearly exasperated, before pulling a sad face for the camera.
Fans quickly flooded his comments with cheeky messages. One joked, “It’s saying, ‘Please don’t leave me!’” while another teased, “Looks like something Jeremy would do!” Others reminded him to pack light for the heat: “Don’t worry mate, won’t need that jumper in Aus — 36°C tomorrow!”
Despite the minor mishap, excitement for Kaleb: Down Under is building fast. The trip marks a major milestone for the 26-year-old, who first found fame as Clarkson’s right-hand man on Clarkson’s Farm. Reflecting on his leap into solo stardom, Kaleb shared: “I spend most of my time with the most travelled man in the world, so I got brave and booked my first ever flight to see what all the fuss was about. Australia, here I come!”
Meanwhile, back at Diddly Squat Farm, Jeremy Clarkson and Lisa Hogan continue filming season five of Clarkson’s Farm. The pair recently stirred debate after fans questioned their cashless policy at the farm shop. One critic asked, “Do you support digital currency? Bad move, my son.” Clarkson replied bluntly: “I’m with you, but it’s just completely impractical, I’m afraid.”
As Clarkson stays home to tend his Oxfordshire empire, Kaleb’s trip Down Under promises to show fans a new side of him — one where the spirited farmhand finally takes the lead, tackling fresh challenges in Australia’s extreme climate and vast farmlands. Whether he’s wrangling livestock, driving massive harvesters, or just trying to survive the heat, one thing’s for sure: Kaleb’s journey is bound to be as chaotic, funny, and heartfelt as ever.
