Swindon Welcomes New Store with Help from Clarkson’s Farm Star
A familiar face from Clarkson’s Farm has lent his support to a growing Swindon-based company as it celebrated the opening of a brand-new showroom in Oxfordshire.
The launch event for TWC Home Improvements’ latest location on Witney High Street drew a crowd of local residents, dignitaries, and fans of the hit Amazon Prime series. Among the special guests was Alan Townsend, professional builder and regular cast member on Clarkson’s Farm, who joined the celebrations and helped mark the company’s official expansion into the town.
Since first airing in 2021, Clarkson’s Farm has captivated audiences by following Jeremy Clarkson’s often-chaotic journey managing his 1,000-acre Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire. The show also features a close-knit group of locals — including Kaleb Cooper, Lisa Hogan, and Alan Townsend — whose expertise and humour have turned them into household names.
Alan, known for his practical skill and down-to-earth personality, continues to be a strong advocate for local businesses across Oxfordshire. His appearance at TWC’s new showroom opening underscores the show’s deep connection to the local farming and business community.
TWC Home Improvements, which already operates successful showrooms in Swindon and Oxford, is known for its high-quality, bespoke windows, doors, and living spaces. With an “excellent” Google rating and a reputation for craftsmanship and customer care, the company’s move into Witney marks another milestone in its growth.
Local councillor Jane Doughty, who sits on the West Oxfordshire District Council, was also in attendance for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Sharing her enthusiasm on social media, she wrote:
“Tonight I was delighted to be invited down to TWC’s grand opening here in Witney!
As an already well-established business, I’m really pleased they’re expanding to Witney.
TWC have such a great team. I’m so pleased they invited me down, and I really hope they do well here in the town!”
The new showroom, located at 61 High Street, Witney (OX28 6JA), is now open to the public and aims to serve homeowners throughout Oxfordshire with custom-built home improvement solutions.
With the support of familiar local faces and a strong community presence, TWC’s Witney launch reflects the continued success of small, independent British businesses — and the enduring influence of Clarkson’s Farm stars beyond the screen.
