Fletchers' Family Farm

Liz Fletcher reveals new venture as she steps back from day-to-day farm work

Liz Fletcher has unveiled an exciting new project as she takes some “time out” from farming. Liz, along with her husband Kelvin Fletcher, a former Emmerdale star, are familiar faces from their appearances on Fletchers’ Family Farm, where they share their lives with children Marnie, Milo, Maximus, and Mateusz.

Currently, Liz is venturing into a new territory as she presents an exciting festive special on ITV1. Fletcher’s Country Workshop showcases Liz’s recently discovered passion for upcycling, crafting, and interior design. In the Christmas special that aired on Sunday (December 14), Liz delved into her love of interior design while renovating the family farmhouse and cottage.

As the festive season approached, Liz aimed to transform the old stable block into a spectacular venue suitable for a Christmas party for family and friends – a task that required a lot of effort and even bigger ambitions, reports the Mirror.

“Christmas is coming, and this year, I want to create something special on our farm,” Liz explained at the start of the programme.

“A space where the whole family can craft, make and create together. With Kelvin by my side and our four kids adding the perfect blend of festive fun and chaos.

“I’m taking time out from farming to indulge my newfound passion for interiors and upcycling, drawing inspiration from the incredible landscape that surrounds us in the Peak District.

“Join me as I transform our barn into the perfect space for a Christmas party for our family, filled with handmade touches, all made with love in Fletchers’ Country Workshop.”

In the run-up to her festive party, Liz roped in her dad to help construct a work bench, while her mum passed down a cherished Christmas recipe.

Kelvin lent a hand in concocting cocktails, and the kids got stuck into making sweet treats and holiday cards. Before long, everything fell into place, with Liz and Kelvin’s loved ones soon descending on the barn for the celebration.

“After four years of living and working on a farm. It feels really exciting to find time to pursue my newfound passions,” Liz reflected later.

“All the little projects that I’ve had on the go, it’s just made the room really special, It’s got everyone in the Christmas spirit. Things aren’t perfect, but that’s me!”

She continued: “What started as a vision in my head has come together to create a wonderful party space filled with family, friends and fabulous food too. Who knows what I’ll think of next, but transforming this space has certainly been fun.

“It’s really awakened the spark in me of where we can find things that are old or going to be thrown away, and make something amazing with it. It can change every single time into something else… It’s moments like this that you look back on, that’s what it’s all about.”
