Liz Fletcher steps back from farming as she hints at a brand-new venture

Fletchers’ Family Farm star Liz Fletcher is fronting a new festive special on ITV1.

Liz Fletcher has taken some “time out” from farming as she revealed an exciting new project.

Liz and her husband, former Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher, are known for their appearances on Fletchers’ Family Farm with their children Marnie, Milo, Maximus and Mateusz.

Now, Liz is embarking on a new adventure as she fronts an exciting festive special on ITV1.

Fletcher’s Country Workshop sees Liz showcase her newfound passion for upcycling, crafting and interior design. The Christmas special, which aired on Sunday (December 14), followed Liz as she developed her love of all things interior while renovating the family farmhouse and cottage.

Ahead of the festive season, Liz wanted to transform the old stable block into a fabulous venue that was fit for a celebratory Christmas party for family and friends – and with such a big space to fill and even bigger ambitions, it was all hands on deck.

“Christmas is coming, and this year, I want to create something special on our farm,” Liz explained at the start of the programme.

“A space where the whole family can craft, make and create together. With Kelvin by my side and our four kids adding the perfect blend of festive fun and chaos.

“I’m taking time out from farming to indulge my newfound passion for interiors and upcycling, drawing inspiration from the incredible landscape that surrounds us in the Peak District.

“Join me as I transform our barn into the perfect space for a Christmas party for our family, filled with handmade touches, all made with love in Fletchers’ Country Workshop.”

In preparation for her party, Liz enlisted the help of her dad in building a work bench, before her mum shared a special festive recipe with her.

Kelvin also helped create cocktails, with the children making sweet treats and festive cards. All the elements soon came together, with Liz and Kelvin’s family and friends arriving at the barn for the party.

“After four years of living and working on a farm. It feels really exciting to find time to pursue my newfound passions,” Liz later shared.

“All the little projects that I’ve had on the go, it’s just made the room really special, It’s got everyone in the Christmas spirit. Things aren’t perfect, but that’s me!”

She added: “What started as a vision in my head has come together to create a wonderful party space filled with family, friends and fabulous food too. Who knows what I’ll think of next, but transforming this space has certainly been fun.

“It’s really awakened the spark in me of where we can find things that are old or going to be thrown away, and make something amazing with it. It can change every single time into something else… It’s moments like this that you look back on, that’s what it’s all about.”
