$80,000 GOLD DROP! 💰 How Tyler Source & Sell RARE Kalgoorlie Nuggets

Gold prospector, dealer, and TV personality Tyler Mahoney is gearing up to launch one of her biggest monthly collections yet—over $80,000 worth of natural Australian gold nuggets—in a drop that has collectors and gold bugs on high alert.

Set to go live this Friday, the exclusive release features a curated selection of handpicked nuggets from across the Calguli region, with one standout piece drawing serious attention: a rare specimen from the famed Father’s Day Vein, a quartz-rich gold pocket discovered half a kilometer underground.

“I am so tempted to keep this one,” Mahoney admits, showing off the striking crystal structure of the piece on her site’s homepage. “It’s a part of Australian gold history. Not many like it out there.”

Mahoney, who rose to prominence on Aussie Gold Hunters and has become one of the most influential figures in modern-day prospecting, doesn’t just flip gold—she lives it. Every month, she spends thousands of kilometers sourcing from small-scale prospectors, full-time miners, hobby diggers, and her own family’s mining operation.

“About 60% of this collection came from full-time prospectors. The rest from hobbyists and our family mine. Kouli was built on gold. Every nugget you own is a part of that legacy,” she explains.

The May collection focuses on medium-sized nuggets in the 3 to 20-gram range, as Mahoney has reserved all larger-than-one-ounce pieces for a historic auction in South Carolina this September—billed as the world’s biggest live gold nugget auction, hosted by Richmond Auctions.

Unlike traditional online stores, each of Mahoney’s nuggets is a one-of-a-kind SKU. Once a nugget is sold, it’s gone for good. Every product on her Shopify store is photographed, individually described, and uploaded by hand—a labor-intensive process that Mahoney and her assistant Tina tackle with passion.

“This isn’t like selling 100 blue shirts. Every single nugget is unique—different place, different person, different story. That’s what makes it special.”

Subscribers to her email list get first dibs with a password-protected early access link—a strategy that’s built an intensely loyal fanbase. Behind the scenes, Mahoney also handles content creation, social marketing, and P&L management to keep her growing gold business on track.

But beyond the logistics, for Mahoney, it’s still about the magic of the hunt.

“When you’re holding one of these nuggets, you’re holding centuries of gold fever, of back-breaking work. I love what I do. I’m lucky—but I never forget the history I’m holding.”

As the countdown to Friday’s Gold Drop Day continues, Mahoney knows these pieces won’t last long. And when they’re gone, they’re gone.
