Gold Rush Star Parker Schnabel Sees Massive Success in Early Season Run: A $2.89 Million Week

Parker Schnabel’s Gold Rush team has hit a groundbreaking stride in the new season, raking in over 800 ounces of gold in just one week.

As the season progresses, Parker’s ambitious plans to mine over $35 million worth of gold are already bearing fruit. Six weeks into the season, his team is right on schedule, with over 2,000 ounces of gold already pulled from the ground. Despite the ongoing success, Parker is no stranger to the risks that come with pushing the operation to its limits, especially as he targets even more gold in the Sulfur Creek area.

Ambitious Moves and Setbacks

The latest setback came when the team faced a mechanical breakdown, with the loader Roxanne going down for repairs. The equipment failure threatened to halt production, potentially costing the operation over $8,000 per hour. However, Parker’s quick decision to send in mechanic Taylor Matika saved the day. With a deep understanding of the machinery, Matika replaced a broken parking brake seal, bringing Roxanne back online in just five hours, after a significant $40,000 production loss.

“We’ve got five trucks, two excavators, and the loader feeding the plant. We’re on a hot streak right now. Let’s stay with it,” Parker remarked as his team worked tirelessly to keep the operation running smoothly.

Taking Risks for Big Rewards

Parker’s latest move to extend the cut at Sulfur Creek has the potential to yield another 500 ounces of gold, worth nearly $1.75 million. With the water license running out, he and his crew are racing against the clock to dig deeper and capture every speck of gold from the earth.

Mitch, who has been with Parker for several seasons, is leading the charge. His team is working around the clock to dig out the last of the stockpiled pay from the two-acre cut. But Parker believes there’s more to be found. “The old-timer’s dredge missed even more gold. I think the pay streak extends up to the road,” he said.

By pushing the operation even further, Parker hopes to uncover more gold before the season’s deadline, adding to his already impressive haul.

An Incredible Week for the Team

After an intense week of work, Parker’s team achieved an extraordinary milestone: 827 ounces of gold—worth $2.89 million at current prices. This marks the highest amount of gold the team has ever recovered in a single week.

Mitch, who led the charge, was ecstatic about the result. “That’s a lot for one week,” he said. “We were not expecting that at all.” The gold haul marked a significant achievement for Parker’s operation and set the stage for a potentially record-breaking season.

Looking Ahead

With over 800 ounces of gold in hand, Parker is hopeful for the future. “We’ve been working hard for several years now, getting set up and digging deeper ground at Dominion. This is looking like the season we’ve been working toward,” he added.

But despite the early success, Parker remains cautious. “I just hope we can keep it up. There’s still so much season left,” he said, mindful of the unpredictable nature of mining. Nonetheless, the team’s early success has Parker in high spirits, and the gold is flowing better than ever. With the season ahead, Parker is confident his risk-driven approach will continue to pay off.
