Parker Schnabel STRIKES GOLD with Over 6,000 Ounces!
At Parker Schnabel’s Money Pit site, the pressure is reaching its peak. With the mining season winding down and winter closing in fast, the team faces a critical race against time — and their own limits.
Despite pulling a staggering 3,676 ounces of gold from the ground so far, challenges are mounting. The real problems aren’t underground; they’re manpower and machinery. With much of the crew diverted to prepare new ground for next season, only one wash plant, Roxan, remains in operation, running at a frantic pace of 250 yards per hour.
Foreman Mitch Blasch has been leading the charge, doing double duty to keep Roxan alive with almost no backup. “I understand Parker’s focus on next year,” Mitch admitted. “But right now, with what we’ve got in front of us, I could sure use the help.”
Meanwhile, Tatiana Costa is working overtime to keep up with the critical buildup of tailings — the waste material left after gold separation — hauling and clearing with no relief in sight. Every minute of delay threatens to choke the plant and stop production cold.
Then, disaster struck.
The site’s only loader — vital for both feeding the plant and clearing tailings — suffered a devastating flat tire. Worse yet, the damaged rim was unsafe, making a simple fix impossible. Without the loader, Roxan had to be shut down.
Enter Taylor, the team’s equipment specialist. Working under intense pressure, Taylor swiftly replaced the damaged rim and tire with a spare, getting the loader back in service in under an hour. Thanks to his quick work, downtime was minimal, and Tatiana was able to resume operations.
The crisis underscored just how fragile the operation had become. One breakdown could derail everything.
Back on track, the focus shifted to results. Parker visited Australia Creek to check the final cleanout from that site. Led by Tyson, the Australia Creek team delivered over 1,000 ounces for the season — an impressive haul, even if the future of that site remains undecided due to its tough conditions.
Back at the Money Pit, the real payoff came during the latest weigh-in from Roxan.
The team held their breath as the gold poured onto the scale:
382.85 ounces.
Another massive score.
The season total now stands at an impressive 6,544 ounces, inching Parker ever closer to his ambitious 7,000-ounce goal.
With only Roxan running, no backup plants, and winter creeping in, the team is giving it everything they have. Morale is high, the ground is still paying, and the repaired loader is holding strong.
“There’s no backup plan,” Parker said. “Roxan has to run non-stop.”
For now, the dream is alive. The gold is flowing, the team is locked in, and the final push is underway. If they can maintain this momentum, Parker Schnabel’s 2025 season could go down as one of his most successful yet.
