Gold Rush

The Ground Is POURING Gold – Parker Schnabel Hits the Jackpot!

Parker Schnabel Strikes Gold: Crew Closes Season With $14 Million Haul and Record-Breaking Operations

Parker Schnabel and his Yukon crew have once again pushed the limits of modern gold mining—delivering a season finale packed with massive gold hauls, brutal mechanical challenges, and record-setting ground coverage. With 8,118 ounces of gold valued at over $14 million, the team came just shy of last season’s record of 8,300 ounces, but their efforts this year may have unearthed the richest ground they’ve ever mined.

The Richest Ground in History?

The breakthrough began with the discovery of an exceptionally rich pay zone, which Parker himself called “the biggest gold mine we’ve ever seen.” At one point, the team had tallied 6,988 ounces, a sign that the operation was closing in on something monumental.

Meanwhile, Parker’s right-hand man, Mitch Blaschke, oversaw a herculean task—mining 90 acres in a single season. Despite machinery breakdowns and relentless weather, the team successfully mined 60 acres, recovering 52,000 ounces of pay dirt, and pushing their output toward the finish line.

Mechanical Woes and Quick Thinking

Parker Schnabel: ''This Is My BIGGEST Find EVER!''

The crew faced critical issues, including the failure of the grizzly bars on the wash plant Big Red, which brought production to a halt. After a 6-hour emergency repair, the plant was back online, delivering a staggering 2,772 ounces, while other team efforts added 3,428 ounces to the total—proof of the crew’s grit and coordination.

Later, a dangerous blockage in the sluice runs forced Mitch to act fast. With rocks threatening to destroy their screen deck, he and crew members Tyson and Evans manually cleared debris and replaced the damaged screen—averting disaster just in time. Their efforts paid off with 620 ounces of gold—worth nearly $1 million.

A Gold Gift Worth $122,000

As a show of appreciation, Parker gifted one crew member a one-of-a-kind ashtray made of 695 ounces of gold, valued at $122,000. The gesture was symbolic of the crew’s backbreaking work and the tangible results of their success.

New Cuts, Old Problems

As the team prepared for a final push, Big Red and Sluicifer (their second wash plant) ran around the clock. Mitch promoted a new crew member to a loader operator role to keep up with demand—but constant wear-and-tear soon caused Big Red to shut down again, with no gold being processed during Parker’s absence.

Upon his return, Parker assessed Fred Lewis’s cut, only to discover major flaws in Fred’s equipment. Comparing it to the $100,000 Parker had spent on his own screens, he stressed the importance of maintenance and proper setup in gold recovery. His concerns reflected the lessons learned the hard way on his own claim.

Final Push and Season Results

In a race against time, the team transported their fully assembled wash plant across the site without dismantling it—a risky move that paid off after two hours of careful navigation. With everything in place, they resumed operations at full capacity.

Their final cleanups included:

  • 300 ounces from Big Red’s Runway Cut (worth $500,000)

  • 219.9 ounces from Sluicifer’s Payback Cut ($119,000)

  • 159 ounces from Sluicifer’s Panama Canal Cut ($270,000)

In the last week alone, the team pulled 629 ounces, wrapping the season with a grand total of 8,118 ounces—just 182 ounces short of last year’s record.

A Season of Highs, Lows, and Gold

Though they didn’t break the all-time record, Parker’s crew has much to celebrate. With $14 million in gold, record acreage mined, and major mechanical hurdles overcome, the season stands as one of their most impressive.

More importantly, it marks a turning point—Parker and his team have proven once again that with resilience, strategy, and sheer determination, they can turn dirt into gold and ambition into legacy.
