Tony Beets’ New ‘Sluice-A-Lot’ Wash Plant Brings In A WHOPPING $800,000 Gold Haul !
Gold miner Tony Beets’ high-stakes investment in a new wash plant is finally paying off. With two wash plants now operational, the Beets crew is pulling in gold from both Paradise Hill and the Indian River, marking a major step forward in their season.
A Rough Start for the New Plant
The newly acquired plant, an $800,000 gamble, saw immediate challenges. New hire Ty Smith was tasked with feeding the plant 250 yards an hour, but excessive water from the sluices turned the ground into quicksand, slowing operations to a halt.
“I can’t see anything, Ty. I’m drowning here, man!” said Chelsea as she struggled with the accumulating tailings. The mounting issue forced the crew to shut the plant down.
Tony was quick to step in. “It’s amazing how people can make such a mess,” he said, frustrated at the downtime. Wasting no time, Tony jumped into the loader himself, showing the team how to build a solid road using coarse tailings to divert water and stabilize the area. “Just give it a straight shot. Don’t drive in the jig. Keep the pockets last,” he instructed.
With the problem fixed, operations resumed, and Tony’s investment was back on track.
Introducing ‘Sir Sluice-a-Lot’
With the new plant running smoothly, the Beets crew decided it needed a proper name. After some lighthearted debate, they settled on Sir Sluice-a-Lot.
“I like that one,” said one crew member, laughing. “Sluimus Prime was another option, but Sir Sluice-a-Lot just fits.”
Gold Weigh-In: Does the New Plant Deliver?
Now, the big question remained—was the new plant worth the investment? In just three days of operation, Sir Sluice-a-Lot needed to produce at least 60 ounces to prove its worth.
The final tally? A solid 84.58 ounces, worth $170,000. “That’s a showing!” Tony exclaimed.
Meanwhile, Mike’s trommel at Paradise Hill also had a record-breaking week, processing 24 hours a day and producing an astonishing 441.90 ounces of gold—worth a staggering $800,000.
“That might just cover the cost of the plant,” Tony said with a rare grin.
A Turning Point for the Beets Crew
With both wash plants pulling in gold at an impressive rate, the season is looking up for Tony Beets. His bold investment appears to be paying off, proving once again why he’s one of the most fearless miners in the Klondike.
As Parker Schnabel put it in a recent interview, “You don’t want to miss a single moment of this Gold Rush.” And if this success continues, neither will Tony Beets.
