Zee’s Loader Loses Power—Ryan’s Quick Fix Saves the Day!

In the middle of a critical emergency haul from an old wash plant, Rick Ness’s crew hit a major roadblock. Their only functioning loader, operated by team member Z, suddenly lost power and came to a complete stop.

“The loader’s shooting a code and it ain’t even moving,” Z reported over the radio. With just one machine standing between them and a halted operation, the tension quickly escalated.

Mechanic Ryan responded immediately, plugging in diagnostic tools to identify the issue. “Looks like we have a sensor problem,” he confirmed. The faulty sensor — responsible for monitoring intake pressure to the engine — was a vital component, and without it, the machine was dead in the water.

To make matters worse, the replacement sensor was nowhere to be found. “Everything we’ve got here is too old. Nothing matches. I should’ve had another one ordered,” Z admitted, clearly frustrated by the oversight.

Desperate for a solution, Z began scavenging for alternatives and miraculously located a compatible sensor on Rick’s side-by-side. “The chance of this working is pretty slim,” he said, as he and Ryan swapped the parts.

But luck was on their side.

The error code vanished, and the loader roared back to life. “Way better,” Z laughed in relief. The quick fix, though cobbled together from spare parts, was enough to get the team moving again — a small miracle in the high-stakes world of gold mining.

With Monster Red fired up and hauling operations back on track, Rick’s ambitious push to break the 1,500-ounce mark was once again within reach.

“Life is good,” Z said. “Things are looking up.”
