Our Yorkshire Farm’s Clive Owen shares relationship update as he says ‘it worked out’
Clive Owen has shared an update on his relationship with Amanda as they continue to run the farm together
Our Yorkshire Farm star Clive Owen has lifted the lid on his relationship with his ex-wife, Amanda Owen, as the pair continue to run the farm and raise nine children together despite being separated.
Clive’s admission comes after he shared his retirement plans and how he wants to “pass the baton” on to his kids.
Clive made the revelation following a conversation with Amanda about weather conditions and their impact on crops during Monday night’s new series of Our Farm Next Door.
The Channel 4 series follows the Owen clan as they continue to renovate the old farmhouse, Anty John’s.
Offering a glimpse into his relationship with ex-wife Amanda, the farmer continued, “Me and Amanda, for some crazy reason, it has worked out alright.”
“We are not together, but we can keep things going to suit everybody, and that is what we intend to do.”
Amanda added, “Things are good, and I think being busy plays a huge part in keeping everybody’s focus.”
Elsewhere in the programme, Clive made a sad admission about passing on his shears as the family plan their future.
“It is a young fellas’ game,” Clive candidly admitted.
“I am almost 70 now, so I have got to think about what comes next. It is something the family are discussing at the moment to see where the future lies for everyone.”
“It is nice for me to pass on my shears,” the farmer laughed.
“We are just beginning to shear sheep. I think Amanda is going to shear and Milo a bit later, and I am not if I can avoid it,” Clive later confessed in the episode.
During another section, Miles also revealed his future aspirations, confessing he wanted to pursue something “to do with agriculture”.
He said, “I am the eldest here now on the farm, so now, a lot of the pressure is on me, you could say, but it is just one of those things.
“I hadn’t thought about the future and what I’d wanna do that far yet, but definitely something with agriculture. But there is a lot more agriculture in the world than just hill farms.”
Clive added, “What the future holds, you can never quite be sure. It is something the family are discussing at the moment to see where the future lies for everyone.”
