It’s the news many More4 viewers will have been waiting for – Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids is returning in just a matter of days.
But what can we expect to see from one of Yorkshire’s favourite families as they return to our TV screens?
Series three, filmed between spring and winter last year, picks up as Amanda and Clive’s renovation of Anty John’s (located near the family farm in Swaledale in the Yorkshire Dales), approaches its second anniversary.
The previously derelict Yorkshire farmhouse is at last sealed from weather elements, with a new roof and windows, and the focus now turns to inside this ancient building, with plenty of jobs still to be done by the Owen family.
What to expect from Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids series 3
A series synopsis shares: “Over the weeks to come there’s walls that need plastering and doors and an antique fireplace to fit, as well as major decisions to be made on everything from the bedroom lighting to where to place the kitchen sockets.
“Meanwhile, Amanda, Clive and the clan continue to run Ravenseat, where all nine children muck in with daily jobs from feeding the lambs to tending to new peacock chicks and looking after a new-born calf.
“But times are changing – with the kids rapidly growing up (the youngest, Nancy, is now nine) and Clive nearing 70, there’s a feeling that the baton is being passed to a new generation.
“But which of the siblings will want to take on the reins of the farm – and who might see their future away from Swaledale, like eldest sister Raven?”
It adds: “Meanwhile, summer holidays bring an opportunity for Amanda and all the Owen girls to explore their own private wilderness in the Dales, heading out for a swim in the tarn and camping under the stars at Boggle Hole.
“And, as she continues her delve into the incredible history which comes along with the renovation of the house, Amanda unearths an amazing love story in Anthony Clarkson’s diary which further highlights the incredible parallels between his life in the 1820s and that of her family’s 200 years later.”

The next season of Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids will start on Monday, January 19 at 9pm on More4.
There will be five episodes aired across the coming weeks, with the second available to watch on Monday, January 26.
The first instalment sees builder Richard embark on the huge job of wall plastering, while Amanda has to make big decisions on the kitchen and Dan the joiner arrives with Anty John’s new, beautifully-crafted doors, though Nancy queries the lack of a cat flap.
The episode summary continues: “The kids rescue a lamb that’s fallen down a hole and, after a busy lambing time, Amanda, Clive and Clemmie take the sheep back to the moor, but there’s fears that the unusually dry weather could leave the family short of grass to feed their animals later in the year.
“Amanda and Clive are busy swinging axes, as they cut up firewood in the yard while reflecting on their relationship and plasterer Ken reveals an unexpected family connection with Anty John’s.
“Meanwhile, with Raven home for few days, Amanda takes the chance to dig deeper into the recently transcribed Anthony Clarkson diary, unearthing a poignant love story which took place incredibly close to home – as Raven, Clemmie and Nancy discover for themselves.”
