Amanda Owen Shares ‘Sickening’ Farm Update Amid Ongoing Challenges

Our Farm Next Door star Amanda Owen has shared a ‘sickening’ update from her Yorkshire farm

Amanda Owen, star of Our Yorkshire Farm and now Our Farm Next Door, has shared a ‘sickening’ update from the Yorkshire farm she cohabits with her former husband and their nine children.

The Yorkshire Shepherdess gained popularity on Channel 5’s successful reality programme Our Yorkshire Farm and continues to keep her dedicated following of 550,000 fans informed about the latest trials of farming life on the isolated Yorkshire Dales land.

This week, Amanda disclosed that she was concerned for the wellbeing of her lambs as lambing season commenced with a ‘sickening’ animal in distress. She stated: “Yesterday Coco, our sickening sheep lambed.

“I was a bit apprehensive about this. I did wonder whether one of the lambs would be deformed or dead by way of explaining some of Coco’s symptoms. Anyway neither of these scenarios proved to be true. Her lambs are small but perfectly healthy and hopefully now Coco will mend.”

Days after the update, Amanda returned to Instagram to describe the turbulent week the Owen family have experienced on the Ravenseat farm, reports the Express. She continued: “I can’t possibly get any kind of semblance of order in everyday life so I’ve no intention of trying to do so on my Instagram feed.

“In the space of a week it was snowy and then very warm. Always on the go and tackling head on whatever comes our way. Rarely winning, mostly on firefighting and damage limitation but absolutely never bored.”

The Owen family has now transitioned to Channel 4, where they have completed three series of their new programme Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids, documenting their endeavour to refurbish a barn as a living space, with another series confirmed to air sometime next year.

Amanda, her son Reuben and former partner Clive have all embarked on individual projects as well, including Reuben: Life In The Dales on Channel 5, before reuniting on screen for this More 4 and Channel 4 series.
