Diddly Squat Farm Shop Shuts Down Temporarily: What You Need to Know

Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm Shop in Oxfordshire is set to temporarily close starting tomorrow, March 16, until March 24, as part of planned updates and improvements to the shop. The popular farm shop, located in Chadlington near Chipping Norton, was opened by Clarkson and his partner, Lisa Hogan, in 2020 and has since become a significant draw for tourists and fans of the TV star.
Clarkson, best known for his work on the hit motoring shows Top Gear and The Grand Tour, purchased the farm in 2008. His journey of transforming the property into a working farm and business was brought to life in the hugely successful Amazon Prime TV series Clarkson’s Farm. The series has captured the attention of millions, now spanning five seasons, showcasing his often humorous and challenging adventures in farming.
In an announcement made on the official Diddly Squat Farm Shop Facebook page, the closure of the main shop from March 16 to 24 was confirmed. The post reads: “We’ll be making a few changes to the shop over the next week, so our usual farm shop will be closed from Monday 16th to Tuesday 24th March. We know some of you may already have plans to visit, so we’ll have a temporary shop set up in the lambing barn (just around the back of the usual shop) during that time. It won’t quite be the full Diddly experience, but you’ll still be able to pick up a few bits while you’re here.”
The post goes on to suggest that visitors who are hoping for the full shopping experience should plan to visit after March 25, when the main shop will reopen. The temporary shop, although smaller, will still offer a selection of items for those unable to wait until the grand reopening.
Despite its closure, Diddly Squat Farm Shop continues to maintain its popularity, with many fans of Clarkson’s farming exploits eager to explore the site in the beautiful Cotswolds. Whether it’s the farm shop itself or the ongoing television series that continues to delight viewers, Clarkson’s venture into farming has made a lasting impression on fans and locals alike.
For those planning to visit soon, the closure may be a minor inconvenience, but the charm of the farm, coupled with the anticipation of the new developments, will surely make it worth the wait. Clarkson’s comedic farming journey shows no signs of slowing down, keeping his fans engaged and entertained throughout the process.
