Clarkson’s Farm devastates fans with ‘all important announcement’

Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm, a beloved destination for fans, has left many heartbroken with a recent “important announcement” posted on its social media. In a post that featured a snap of a notice board with those three words, the farm shared some unexpected news, revealing that there would be a temporary closure for a few days due to some changes being made.

The Instagram update explained that Diddly Squat Farm, which has attracted countless visitors since it opened, would close from March 16th to March 24th for some necessary adjustments. The message read, “UPDATE – We’ll be making a few changes to the shop over the next week, so our usual farm shop will be closed from Monday 16th to Tuesday 24th March. We know some of you may already have plans to visit, so we’ll have a temporary shop set up in the lambing barn (just around the back of the usual shop) during that time. It won’t quite be the full Diddly experience but you’ll still be able to pick up a few bits while you’re here. If you’re planning a trip and want the shop as you know it, we’d recommend visiting from the 25th March onwards.”

The news left fans disappointed, especially those who had already planned visits during the closure. One fan shared, “We were visiting the Cotswolds from 20th to 23rd, never mind… another time. Good luck x,” while another expressed their frustration with a GIF of Clarkson along with the caption “Absurd times.” Another fan chimed in, “Oh no,” showcasing their dismay. For many, this update was an unexpected setback, given their anticipation of a trip to the farm.

However, not all reactions were negative. Some fans were eager to see what changes might be in store at the farm. “I’ll be coming down in May! So so excited,” one fan wrote, while another shared their excitement about the upcoming changes: “Good luck guys with the refresh. See you in April.” It seems that for some, the temporary inconvenience was overshadowed by curiosity about what new updates might be coming to the farm.

This announcement follows shortly after some deeply tragic news shared by Clarkson. Just a few days ago, he took to his newspaper column to announce that after a challenging seven-month battle, Diddly Squat Farm had officially been declared TB-free. Clarkson wrote, “After seven months of lockdown, Diddly Squat farm became officially TB-free this week.” However, the joy of this milestone was quickly followed by sorrow, as Clarkson revealed that one of their donkeys had been diagnosed with laminitis, a painful condition that often leads to the need for euthanasia. He continued, “But before we had a chance to celebrate, we found out that one of our donkeys has laminitis and must be put down.”

In his characteristic style, Clarkson reflected on the harsh realities of farming life, writing, “In farming, it seems you are allowed one bit of good news, but it must always be accompanied by some kind of disaster.” This candid update gave fans a sobering reminder of the unpredictable challenges that come with farm life, even amidst moments of success. Clarkson’s blend of humor and raw honesty has resonated with fans, making them even more invested in the ongoing story of Diddly Squat Farm.
