Clarkson’s Farm season 5 has now come to an end after Jeremy Clarkson’s hit series took a dark turn.
Clarkson’s Farm fans are desperate to know about the show’s future after the final two episodes of season five landed on Prime Video. Be warned, spoilers for Episode 7 lie ahead.
The current season was split into three parts, with Episodes 7 and 8 having just dropped on June 17, and they revealed yet more difficult challenges for Jeremy Clarkson and the Diddly Squat team.
In Episode 7, things turned dark as, with the harvest looming, the farm is rocked by some devastating news. Meanwhile, Jeremy Clarkson busied himself with a project close to his heart, protecting local birdlife, which resulted in a clash with Kaleb Cooper.

At the time of writing, Clarkson’s Farm has not officially been renewed by Prime Video, with the streamer yet to make a formal announcement about the show’s future.
However, back in February 2026, Clarkson himself revealed some filming for a new season had already taken place, but it needed to be put on hold. Writing in his column for The Sunday Times, Clarkson said filming had halted due to the Oxfordshire weather.
He wrote: “On the face of it, I’m a busy man. I have a television show to make about the farm I run,” later adding: “There’s no filming happening on the farm at the moment. Or farming.
“It hasn’t stopped raining since the beginning of the year, so I can’t plant anything, and I can’t do anything with my cows either because we are still locked down by TB.”
Episode 7 detailed the shocking TB diagnosis at the farm, which first came to light in July 2025.
In a social media post on X the former Top Gear host said everyone was “absolutely devastated”. He later wrote that the infected cow was “pregnant with twins”.
Clarkson has previously spoken out about his long-term plans for the future of Clarkson’s Farm, saying he had “ideas” in mind for a sixth season, but would stop when he ran out of inspiration.
With this in mind, it looks promising that Clarkson himself is keen for a sixth season to go ahead, but it is ultimately down to Prime Video to give the green light.
Reach contacted Prime Video for an update on whether a new season has been approved. One thing is still true – the popularity of Clarkson’s Farm has shown no sign of fading.
