Jeremy Clarkson Admits “Horrific” Hospital Dash in Clarkson’s Farm Finale Was “All My Fault”
Jeremy Clarkson has broken his silence on his sudden rush to hospital at the end of the latest season of Clarkson’s Farm
Jeremy Clarkson has admitted his dash to hospital after his cancer treatment went “awry” was due to restarting medication before consulting a doctor first.
The fifth season of Clarkson’s Farm on Prime Video took a devastating turn in the final two episodes when Jeremy divulged his prostate cancer diagnosis to Kaleb Cooper and Charlie Ireland.
The former Top Gear star has now confirmed he is in remission, though not without experiencing some nerve-wracking health scares.
In the final episode, he’s seen once again lying in a hospital bed after an emergency, telling fans: “If this is all successful, I’ll see you for season six, and if it isn’t, I won’t. Take care, everyone.”
Jeremy has now revealed the hospital visit came after restarting blood-thinning medication for heart problems without getting the okay from his doctor.
He admitted in an interview with the Sunday Times: “That was horrific and it was all my own fault.
“I’d been on drugs for heart issues and I had to come off them during the cancer treatment.”
Season 5 had already started with Jeremy’s heart surgery back in October 2024, which had been successful but required him to take several weeks of rest.
However, his post-op medication seems to have interfered with his cancer treatment, forcing Jeremy back to hospital for more treatment which he is unwilling to disclose.
“Two or three weeks after the cancer operation, I thought I’d better put myself back on those blood thinners,” he went on to explain.
“Big mistake, huge. It [resulted in] a very big emergency in the middle of the night.
“I’m not even going to go into the treatment that was required as a result of that, because it was horrible. I didn’t ask a doctor, I just thought, ‘I’m sure it will be all right to go back on blood thinners’.”
Thankfully, Jeremy has confirmed to The Sunday Times that he took a Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) two months ago which showed no evidence of cancer.
This has meant a sixth season of Clarkson’s Farm is now well underway, with Jeremy sharing the news that filming was being done on Diddly Squat to Instagram over the weekend.
He told his followers: “So, bit of a year. But, I am delighted to tell you that Season 6 of Clarkson’s Farm is currently being filmed. It’s in production.
“And that’s particularly good news for me because… well, if you know, you know. And, if you don’t know, you need to watch Season 5.”
As for how he’s staying healthy following his health scares, Jeremy says he now drives slower, walks more, and even eats vegetarian meals.
Clarkson’s Farm is available to stream on Prime Video.
