Tyler Mahoney BIGGEST BUSINESS DEAL YET!!!
In a deal described as “insanity” and “the biggest business moment of my life,” Australian gold prospector and entrepreneur Tyler Mahoney has landed a groundbreaking partnership with Richmond Auctions, one of America’s leading live auction houses.
Tyler, best known from her appearances on Aussie Gold Hunters, Gold Rush, and Hawker’s Trail, touched down in Greenville, South Carolina this week to formalize the exclusive partnership, which will bring one of the first major live gold nugget auctions to the U.S. market later this year.
“It’s surreal,” said Mahoney, overwhelmed with emotion as she arrived in Greenville after a multi-leg journey from Perth to Brisbane and onward across the Pacific. “This is a seven-figure deal. I can’t believe those words are coming out of my mouth.”
Joining her on the trip was her colleague Tina, both experiencing the American South for the first time. They were welcomed with custom team shirts, snacks, and a personalized note from Richmond Auctions: “Your creativity and energy are exactly what we love.”
The collaboration was announced during a high-energy auction event, where Mahoney took the stage to introduce her collection of hand-sourced, high-provenance Australian gold nuggets.
“This gold has true provenance,” she said. “I can point to any nugget and tell you who found it, when it was found, and where it came from. That’s what makes it special.”
The auction floor was a frenzy of numbers and excitement, with lots ranging from rare signs to vintage memorabilia fetching upwards of $220,000. Mahoney and Tina observed the operation with wide eyes, praising the Richmond team for their scalability and professionalism.
“Being here feels like stepping into another world,” said Mahoney. “It’s chaos in the best way.”
The Richmond Auctions team, led by Jordan and operations manager Heather Hall, has built a reputation for record-breaking sales—including a $1.5 million porcelain sign unearthed from a private property. Hall, who began her career in heavy equipment auctions, shared her journey from receptionist to top-level operations.
“I get to talk as much as I want, and nobody tells me to shut up,” laughed Hall. “Auction day is my favorite—amazing people and amazing food.”
As the week unfolds, Mahoney and her team plan to deepen their involvement, learn the logistics, and prepare for what promises to be a historic auction event later in 2025.
“We’re just getting started,” Mahoney said, grinning. “This is bigger than gold. This is legacy.”
