This year, Clarkson’s Farm viewers saw the addition of newcomer Harriet Cowan to the hit Prime Video series.
As fan-favourite Kaleb Cooper was touring the UK, Harriet was called in to give former Top Gear star Jeremy Clarkson a hand with running Diddly Squat Farm.
However, her time on the programme was short-lived due to Kaleb’s return to the farm, much to viewers disappointment.
Although she may have been on the show for a brief period, it’s resulted in the 24-year-old gaining a huge social media following.
This week, the Clarkson’s Farm star announced a new business venture away from the Prime Video series.
Taking to Instagram, she told her 493,000 followers to follow her new contracting page, Cowan Contracting.
A description of the page reads: “Cowan Contracting ~ family business. Eddy Cowan / Harriet Cowan. Contracting needs over Derbyshire. Based in Belper.”
Showcasing two red tractors in the countryside as their first image, the second features a string of images and clips, including one of Harriet alongside her dad.
The caption reads: “WE ARE COWAN CONTRACTING. The faces behind the page: this business is a family-run business!! And we promote women in farming. Please drop us a message for any contracting enquires or fodder enquires.”
With their first post being shared in less than 24 hours, they’ve already amassed an impressive 1,796 followers.
When Harriet and Caleb were introduced to one another on the show, some people thought the reception she received was rather frosty.
However, when speaking to BBC Derby, it seems as though that can’t be further from the truth.
Harriet commented: “Kaleb’s amazing – me and him are so close now. He’s such a good farmer and we got on really well. He’s another farmer to add to my phone list to ring.”
Since her appearance on the programme, people have made it no secret that they want her to return to Diddly Squat Farm in the future.On social media, one person said: “Please bring Harriet back, she was a fantastic addition and when the mood vacuum came back (Kaleb) it went a bit sour. Harriet [is] hard working and great fun.”
Someone else added: “Harriet was amazing, brought so much to the show, please bring her back.” Meanwhile, another fan commented: “Thought she was such a hard worker, bless her.”
