Jeremy Clarkson Confirms Clarkson’s Farm Series 5 is Well Underway
Fans of Clarkson’s Farm have been given the news they were hoping for — Jeremy Clarkson has officially confirmed that work on series five is already in full swing.
The former Top Gear and Grand Tour presenter first purchased Diddly Squat Farm in the village of Chadlington, Oxfordshire, back in 2008. Initially, the farm was managed by local professionals, but in 2019, Clarkson decided to take over the day-to-day running himself — a decision that would spark one of the most unexpectedly popular TV ventures in recent years.
When Clarkson’s Farm debuted on Prime Video in 2021, audiences were given an unfiltered, often hilarious, and sometimes emotional look at life in the Cotswolds countryside. The show followed Clarkson’s often chaotic attempts to run the farm alongside fan-favourite sidekick Kaleb Cooper, land agent Cheerful Charlie Ireland, and farming advisor “Gerald,” whose impenetrable West Country accent has become legendary.
The series quickly became a global hit, praised for its authenticity, humour, and surprising depth. It also had a real-world impact — Diddly Squat Farm Shop became a major tourist attraction, drawing thousands of visitors, and Clarkson’s Asthall-based pub, The Farmer’s Dog — which opened last year — has been similarly popular.
Since the first season, Prime Video has released two more series, with series four launching just last month. This latest season featured eight brand-new episodes released across May and June, with much of the focus on Clarkson’s latest challenge: transforming a traditional Cotswolds pub into a thriving local hub. He purchased the property for around £1 million, but as viewers have seen, running a pub can be just as unpredictable — and stressful — as running a farm.
Series four wrapped up only weeks ago, and many fans have already expressed their anticipation for the next chapter. One viewer on social media platform X wrote:
“Well that was an emotional rollercoaster! I’m happy because I’ve just watched the end of Clarkson’s Farm series four… and it will be rewatched many, many times… probably from series one again. I’m sad because now I’m waiting for Clarkson’s Farm series five!”
Clarkson himself responded directly, offering a reassuring update:
“And we are well into it already.”
This confirmation means filming for series five has been underway for months, though Amazon has yet to officially announce a release date. Based on the pattern of series three and four, fans can reasonably expect the new season to drop sometime in 2026, likely in the spring or early summer.
If past instalments are anything to go by, viewers can expect more farming mishaps, inventive problem-solving, clashes with red tape, and heartfelt moments that highlight both the beauty and the challenges of rural life. With the combination of Clarkson’s sharp wit, Kaleb’s blunt honesty, and the unpredictability of the British countryside, series five is already shaping up to be another must-watch.
