Clarkson’s Farm ‘bird lady’ responds to ‘allegations’ from fans after criticism

Bird enthusiast Hannah Bourne-Taylor appeared on the latest season of Clarkson’s Farm, and has now responded to ‘allegations’ made by viewers about her stint on the show

Clarkson’s Farm is back with its fifth series, which saw former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson spend another year running his farm in the Cotswolds, which has described to be the most ‘personal’ series to date.

One of the new faces appearing on the show was Hannah Bourne-Taylor, whom Jeremy had invited over to the farm after having expressed his concerns about not seeing any common farm birds on his farm. Jeremy disclosed he was an avid enthusiast of birds and was keen to do more on the farm to safeguard its feathered residents. Hannah’s passion for birds was immediately evident as she bounced with excitement at the sight and sound of some rare species.

She also left Jeremy utterly stunned when she disclosed she had allowed a bird to nest in her hair for 84 days.

However, Hannah soon found herself in a disagreement with farmhand Kaleb Cooper, after it was revealed that nesting endangered birds and their chicks would be killed if the field they were planning to plough for the harvest.

The show went on to see Jeremy listen to both sides of the issue, as Kaleb said they didn’t have time to wait for the birds to leave their nests a few weeks later. They soon found a compromise, which saw them save the birds while also getting to harvest the fields.

However, some viewers were left unimpressed by Hannah, as they went on to claim she’d been ‘rude’ to Kaleb when explaining the reason why he couldn’t harvest the field that day.

Taking to Reddit, one user said: “I just thought she came across as genuinely quite rude, and there were points i thought she was going to storm off set.”

“She’s literally just met these people, who are doing their best for their farm animals, and she acted like they were wanton idiots killing baby birds for fun,” they added.

The comment section to filled with people sharing their own thoughts, as many went on to theorise on whether or not Hannah was neurodivergent, as they played off her passion for birds as a sign of her being autistic, despite not having shared any information about that herself.

However, it seems Hannah has now responded to the ‘allegations’ as another Reddit user went on to share a link to one of her Instagram posts. They added: “She has responded to the allegations. What a gem.”

In the video, Hannah is seen standing out in a field wearing denim shorts and a red plaid shirt that she’s tied around her waist.

She went on to say: “So the internet has diagnosed me with autism, so this is my impression of of Rain Man in light of hitting 100,000 followers, I am going to try to say 100 birds.”

She then goes on to name the various birds, starting off with tits, such as blue tits, and great tits. She then moves on to seabirds, like puffins, razorbills, and different types of gulls. She then continued with farm birds, which became a big topic on her appearance on Clarkson’s Farm, before going on to name all the other birds that popped into her mind.

People soon took to the comment section of the video to share their praises, so one person said: “You star Hannah”

Someone else also went on to share: “All I know is, I now stand in my garden with my Merlin app hearing things I have missed for 50 years, so thank you for that, it’s amazing.”
