Clarkson’s Farm star speaks out on possible return with four-word response
The Clarkson’s Farm star has quit her full-time job to focus on new TV projects and social media
A familiar face from Clarkson’s Farm has teased a potential comeback to the Prime Video series, teasing “you’ll have to see”.
Harriet Cowan left the programme last May, during the fourth season, when her stint as a temporary farmhand ended following Kaleb Cooper’s return from touring.
However, the Derbyshire-based nurse hasn’t slowed down as she has given up her day job and is now juggling several “TV projects” alongside becoming a social media star, reports the Mirror.
During an appearance on the Fed by Farmers podcast, Harriet opened up about her choice to leave nursing, revealing: “I’ve given up nursing because I was going into people’s houses and I was getting recognised as that girl off the telly.
“I was supposed to be there as a professional nurse – there were people dying at the end of the day, and I was supposed to be there as a professional.”
The 24-year-old went on to explain: “The stress of doing social media, being a nurse, a farmer and doing brand deals was too much. In black and white, I don’t need the money.
“I was working all week, and I’d be earning 34k a year, but I just did not need that; that was nothing you can earn in the social media game. I look at some things and think it’s crazy.
“But you’ve got to do it…How many other people can say they can give that up at 24, to give up their job and go into full-time farming, which is all I’ve ever wanted to do.”
Harriet, who left a lasting impression during her short stint helping Jeremy Clarkson in the fourth series of Clarkson’s Farm, shared: “I’ve got a few new TV things coming off too, which I’m very excited about.”
Since her television debut, she’s secured multiple advertising partnerships and spoken about the most recent one on the podcast, according to The Sun. She explained: “Aldi’s the biggest (brand) yet, British beef. I’m seeing them next week – I don’t know what they’re getting me to do yet,” before adding: “I think I’m allowed to talk about it, it’s good publicity for Aldi anyway!”
When asked whether she’ll be appearing in series 5 of Prime Video’s Clarkson’s Farm, she teased: “I’m not allowed to say, you’ll have to see. It’s top secret.”
It has been confirmed that Clarkson’s Farm will return with a fresh series on Wednesday, 3 June, with two further episodes dropping a week later on 10 June, before the concluding two episodes arrive on 17 June.
As teased by Prime Video, Jeremy decides some big changes are needed to make the farm run more smoothly, amidst a government budget that sends the UK farming community into uproar.
The synopsis adds: “But while the farm tries to go high-tech – resulting in Kaleb’s first ever trip abroad – even bigger developments are heading for Diddly Squat that are going to prove much more of a challenge.”
