Jeremy Clarkson returns to Grand Tour with new episode tomorrow
Jeremy Clarkson has made his long-awaited return to The Grand Tour, alongside his fellow presenters, James May and Richard Hammond, with a brand-new episode releasing this week. The iconic trio, who have become synonymous with automotive television, originally launched The Grand Tour about a decade ago, working alongside their longtime producer, Andy Wilman. The team quickly established themselves as television legends through their entertaining and often outrageous antics, starting with their groundbreaking run on the BBC’s Top Gear, which lasted for over two decades.
Their partnership has been a staple of television for 22 years, but in 2024, the presenters made the difficult decision to call time on their shared adventures. They ventured on one last journey together, a special trip to Zimbabwe and Botswana, which served as the final farewell to their collective presence on The Grand Tour. This final adventure, titled One For The Road, was emotional for fans and marks the official end of the trio’s professional collaboration on the show.
However, despite the end of their regular adventures, the The Grand Tour legacy is far from over. In a surprising announcement earlier this year, Prime Video revealed that there would be four new retrospective specials to celebrate the trio’s illustrious run. These new episodes would offer fresh commentary from May and Hammond, alongside clips of the best moments from the show’s illustrious history, allowing fans to relive the magic of their wild journeys.
The first of these specials, The Not Very Grand Tour, was released in April of the previous year, giving fans a trip down memory lane. The second special, The Grand-ish Tour: A Trip Down Memory Lane, premiered last week and brought the trio back together, with Jeremy Clarkson making his highly anticipated reappearance. This special marked a reunion that many fans were eagerly awaiting, bringing back the trio’s much-loved chemistry and banter.

Now, the third episode in this special series, titled The Grand-ish Tour: A Bit Further Down Memory Lane, is set to release tomorrow, Friday, May 8, on Prime Video. In this latest installment, the trio takes a nostalgic look at some of their most memorable moments from the show. The episode revisits iconic vehicles and stunts, including the self-assembly car that famously crossed Mongolia, and Jeremy Clarkson’s own homemade SUV, The Excellent. In addition to these unforgettable vehicles, the episode also celebrates the great pranks, epic drag races, and the various mishaps, such as the infamous wonky windscreen wipers, that have become synonymous with The Grand Tour.
As the countdown to the release of this special episode continues, fans are eagerly anticipating the chance to relive the hilarious and often heart-stopping moments that have made The Grand Tour a global phenomenon. Even as their on-screen adventures come to an end, Clarkson, May, and Hammond continue to delight audiences with these retrospectives, reminding viewers of the undeniable magic that comes from their unique chemistry and their passion for cars, adventure, and friendship.
