Series 6 of Clarkson’s Farm set for 2027 as parking plans reveal TV future

The sixth series of Clarkson’s Farm has been commissioned and will air in summer 2027, according to planning documents submitted to West Oxfordshire District Council.

The revelation emerged as Jeremy Clarkson applies to extend car parking permissions at Diddly Squat Farm until December 31, 2030. The show’s fifth series is set to launch on Prime Video in June this year.

A planning consultant, writing on behalf of Clarkson, confirmed in the application: “Season five will air this year and season six has been commissioned and will air in summer 2027.”

Parking Extension Request
The application seeks to extend temporary parking permissions originally granted in 2023 for three years. The consultant explained: “In light of the continued popularity of the site and associated television programme, we are requesting a further extension of the limited period consents for the use and associated development to provide car parking.”

The planning documents note that the show creates unique visitor demand. The consultant wrote: “The inspector clearly identified that the association with a popular current television programme is a unique circumstance which generates a time limited demand.”

The original three-year limit was set when series two had just aired and series three was commissioned. The consultant explained: “The three-year time limit was chosen on the basis that if the third series was the final one, then two years of monitoring after airing was sufficient to assess demand.”

With series five yet to air, the consultant stated: “Given series five is yet to air we are requesting a new time limit is imposed ending on December 31 2030.” They added: “Three further years to monitor and review thereafter seems appropriate.”

Clarkson previously revealed in his Sunday Times column in February that filming for series six had been suspended due to poor weather.
