Clarkson’s Farm stars Harriet Cowan and Kaleb Cooper at LAMMA Show 2026

The Farmers Guide team caught up with Clarkson’s Farm stars Harriet Cowan and Kaleb Cooper during this year’s LAMMA Show, where farming, machinery, and the future of British agriculture took centre stage.

Harriet Cowan, who stepped in to assist Jeremy Clarkson during the most recent series while the farm manager was away, attended the event as a special guest to unveil Deutz-Fahr’s latest flagship machine — the newly launched 8 Series TTV tractor.

Fresh from its global debut at Agritechnica, the completely redesigned tractor was presented to a UK audience for the first time at LAMMA. The unveiling marked a significant moment for the manufacturer, which described the new 8 Series as its most advanced tractor to date.

Engineered and built at Deutz-Fahr Land in Lauingen, Germany, the new range represents a step forward in modern tractor design, combining high performance with enhanced operator comfort and advanced digital systems. The 8 Series TTV is offered in two high-output models, delivering up to 313hp and 340hp respectively, and is aimed at large-scale and progressive farming operations.

According to the manufacturer, the tractor is designed not simply as a workhorse, but as a fully connected operating environment for today’s farmers. “If you are looking for a tractor that is more than just a work machine — a comfortable, always-connected technological hub — the 8 Series is a must-see,” a spokesperson said at the event.

Alongside machinery launches, LAMMA 2026 also provided a platform for wider conversations about the future of British farming. Kaleb Cooper, joined by Tom Pemberton, officially launched the Young British Farming Awards, now entering their third year.

The awards aim to recognise and celebrate the passion, innovation, and resilience of young farmers who are helping shape the future of UK agriculture at a time of significant economic and environmental pressure.

Speaking at the launch, Cooper addressed ongoing questions about whether farming has a sustainable future. “Is there a future in farming? I don’t know,” he said. “But what I do know is this: everybody needs a farmer three times a day — breakfast, lunch, and dinner.”

He added that despite uncertainty across the sector, food production remains essential. “If someone asked me, ‘Is there actually a future in farming?’ I would say yes, because everyone still needs feeding.”

The appearance of Cowan and Cooper at LAMMA highlighted how Clarkson’s Farm has helped bring farming conversations to a wider audience, while events like LAMMA continue to connect that visibility with real-world innovation, machinery, and the next generation of British farmers.
